What is IntelliFix?
During 2005, a group of friends used their combined knowledge of the IT Industry to develop the concept of harnessing the power web based remote control tools to provide help and support to computer users in a new and innovative way. From this idea IntelliFix.com was born.
IntelliFix (UK) Ltd is based in England
The IntelliFix concept is based upon a well established technical model, but packages it in such a way as to make it more accessible to the general public. IntelliFix takes away the drudgery and inconvenience of having PC problems fixed by repair shops and high street computer vendors. The IntelliFix remote control software allows fixes and repairs to be done from anywhere in the world, whilst the PC owner sits back and watches things unfolds.
The IntelliFix System has taken eighteen months to evolve from specification design to market launch.
Why is IntelliFix Unique?
Some companies already offer a remote help facility. What makes IntelliFix unique is that Intellifix is like Ebay for ‘skills’. It is a global marketplace, much like a dating agency, that brings together people with skills and those that need access to those skills. Because it is worldwide, in time there will be no limit to the resources that every IntelliFix customer has access to.
IntelliFix is aimed at home users who want the convenience of support services which have been available to the business users for some time.
You don’t have to be a customer of a specific Internet supplier or hardware seller to enjoy the IntelliFix service. There is no join up fee, no monthly subscription. Just sign up when you need help, select an engineer and pay them for the work they have done. What could be easier or more convenient?
Existing support companies can only employ a finite number of people to support specific products. If these suppliers do not have the knowledge or skills you require, then where do you go for help? IntelliFix is the answer.
Because our registered engineers are worldwide the support available to you is unlimited.
There’s more, IntelliFix isn’t just about fixing problems. If you have a skill in a product such as Photoshop, you can sign up as a Photoshop ‘Expert’ and then using the IntelliFix remote control system, you can ‘walk’ your client through the functionality of Photoshop, showing them exactly how to do something they previously couldn’t get the hang of. This concept applies to all applications that can be run on a Windows platform.
IntelliFix Engineers pay for the time they are on-line and providing support using the IntelliFix system. This encourages Engineers to diagnose and fix problems in the shortest time, which in turn means they can offer very competitive rates to customers.
If you are an IT professional - you probably know of or have used Webex Support?
Although IntelliFix is a global service, it is also a great help tool for ‘local’ PC repair shops. By signing up to IntelliFix, someone with a PC repair business can offer their existing customers a new dimension to their service.
Webex are a company that have been providing the means to remotely control a users desktop long before the days of Windows XP and RDP (remote desktop) which incidently does not allow two users share to a single desktop at the same time. RDP will logout the local user when a remote one connects. If you have ever used remote desktop you will be aware of this fact. This is obviously no good when you want to see what the Support Engineer is doing.
Intellifix (and the webex support product) does allow the sharing by two users of a single desktop.
IntelliFix has the same world class remote support features as webex support. So if your familiar with Webex Support you'll like our product and be at ease with it right away. IntelliFix remote support does all the things that Webex Support can do with a few more features added in.
No customers want to have to install VNC, which requires install knowledge and Firewall tweaking for port forwarding across the Internet to allow someone to remotely connect, this leaves a security hole, nor do they want to use Remote Desktop which is built into Windows XP since they cannot see what the engineer is doing if remote desktop is used and they are in front of the PC.
The customer wants support at the interactive level and the ability to take control or pass control of the desktop whenever he or she wants. Equally they want to be able to get remote assistance whenever they need it.
Intellifix provides this. No preinstalled remote tools, No Firewall tweaking etc.
